When she was little and there was a storm, Sara used to curl up in her bed and
count the seconds between when the lightening struck and when she could hear the
thunder…her parents said this was one of the many reasons why they knew she’d
make a scientist.
Tonight the storm brings her comfort as it rages around her. She hadn’t expected
him to follow her, although some part of her had hoped he would.
She swirls the wine around in her glass and looks down at it and all she can
wonder is, why doesn’t he want her?
