�Hello Darcy.�
Libby smiled slightly at the man in front of her before lowering herself into
the chair opposite. Glancing around the room she took in the other prisoners
greeting friends and family members and not for the first time wondered if this
was a good idea.
�Libby��
She could see the surprise and confusion in his eyes that she would come to see
him, especially after all he had done to their family. A lump rose in her throat
as she glanced down at her lap and tried to decide just how to say this.
�There was an accident a couple of days ago.�
She shifted in her chair and tried not to cry, she�d known this would be hard
but felt that he deserved tAo know. Darcy had cared about Dee deeply and it
wasn�t right that he be kept in the dark.
�Dee and Toadie�s car went into the ocean... she hasn�t been found yet.�
He gasped and leaned back against his seat. He didn�t ask if there was any hope
that she would be found alive� it was too late.
�How�s Toadie taking it?�
�He�s not good. Angie is there looking after him and mum goes round a lot.� She
shrugged and met his eyes for the first time since she�d arrived. �There�s
nothing anyone can say right now to make it better.�
She could see the tears in his eyes and had to fight to maintain her own
control. �How are you doing?�
�I�ve been better.�
They both looked away as Libby glanced down at her watch and sighed. �I need to
go. Ben and I are going away for a little while.�
She began to stand as Darcy reached out and squeezed her hand, before letting it
go. �Thanks for coming Libby.�
She smiled slightly and nodded before turned and heading towards the door and
away from Erinsborough.
